This study entitled, “ATTITUDE AND MOTUIVATIN IN SECOND LANGGUAGE LEARNING OF 4TH YEAR ENGLISH MAJOR” aimed to determine the attitude and motivation towards learning English language and to cite if there is a significant relationship of the variables. The participants of the study were the 4th year Major students in the first semester of the school year 2018-2019 in UM Digos College. Moreover, the quantitative method was used to collect data. After thorough analysis, it was found that the level of the students’ attitude and motivation in second language learning were both very high. These mean that the level of students’ attitude and motivation were always manifested and practiced. It has further been found that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. Based from the findings of the study, the researchers recommended that the school administers must conduct an evaluation constantly in order to assess the effectiveness of the strategies used by the teachers to facilitate those students who exhibited proper attitude and motivation in second language learning.
