Digos City: University of Mindanao. This study aimed to assess the pest control practices of selected food sections in Digos City Public Market. Moreover, this study sought to describe the level of pest control practices of the selected food sections and determine if there is a significant difference of the pest control practices when food sections are analyzed into its type and year of operation. This study used descriptive non-experimental research design. Eleven (11) food section were selected and 188 stalls were deduced using the universal sampling method. The mean and standard deviation (obtained from utilizing the raw data analyzed by scoring method), One-way ANOVA, and Post Hoc Test were used as statistical tools to determine the level of the pest control practices associated to each selected food sections and o identify significant differences in the level of pest control practices when food sections are analyzed by its type and year operation. A survey questionnaire was used as an instrument of the study. The result showed that the level of pest control practices in the selected food section in terms of Management of Physical Facility got a mean of 24.87 described as very high and denotes that the pest control practices is always manifested in this manner. On the contrary, Investigating of Evidence of Pest got a mean of 66.58 described a slow and denotes that pest control practices is seldom manifested in this manner. An overall mean of 12.698 is manifested by the two indicators which describe as very high and denotes that pest control practices is always manifested. In totality, the food section who got the highest mean is the Meat Section with a value of 48.12 while the egg section got the lowest mean with 25.89. Thus, based on the findings, it can be concluded that the level of pest control practices in Meat Section is significantly higher the Egg section and there is no significant difference in the level of pest control practices when subjects are analyzed by year of operation.
