The tourism industry has an adverse image among students, making it difficult for the industry to attract and retain competent employees. Understanding today's students' views of career opportunities in the tourism industry is important for ensuring they become successful professionals. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the attitudes of undergraduate tourism students at UM Digos College toward pursuing a career in the industry. This study utilized a quantitative and descriptive method, and research data was collected using an adopted questionnaire from Scott Richardson (2008). Data were analyzed using frequency, mean, Mann-Whitney U-test, and Kruskal-Wallis H-test. Results showed that there is no significant difference between the level of attitude and perception of undergraduate tourism students towards career in the industry, which implies that it provides the qualities needed when deciding on a career. However, results showed that there are significant differences between the attitude of tourism students towards career in the industry when analyzed according to their socio-demographic profile, especially in terms of year level of commitment to the industry and in terms of sex in the nature of work. The findings also indicated that tourism students are more likely to work in the industry after graduation. In addition, future studies can help students gain substantial knowledge that will align with their profession when choosing a career in the industry.
