This study is titled Food Safety Knowledge and Food Handling Behavior of 3rd Year BTTE College Students in University of Mindanao. A Descriptive Correlational Methodology was used in this study. This study particularly aimed is to examine the relationship between Food Safety Knowledge and Foods Handling Behavior of 3rd year college students in handling of food. Participants, were 53, 3rd year BTTE College Students from University of Mindanao. Data was collected through a questionnaire survey that utilized forty-five (45) questions regarding Food Safety Knowledge and Food Handling Behavior of the students. The results revealed that students’ knowledge of food safety is weak with an overall percentage of 69.44. Second, the students have an average or neutral behavior or practices of food handling with an overall mean of 2.06. This indicates that the behavior of the respondents did not contribute to food safety problem. Lastly, there is no relationship between the food safety knowledge and the food handling behavior as perceived by the third year BTTE students of UM Digos College with the correlation coefficient of 1.66. Therefore, the study reveals that students must enhance and develop their knowledge and skills on how to prepare and handling the food safety.
