Summary, etc. Dela Cruz, H., Jurimocha, R., & Lumarda, A.M. (November 2018). Papers Production from Horse Manure and Starch: An Experimental Study. Digos City: University of Mindanao.

This study is focused in paper production from horse manure with the use of starch as binding agent. It aims to explain the characteristics of horse manure when combined with Corn Starch and Cassava. The quality of paper using horse manure and starch in terms of horse manure paper’s durability. This study used a quantitative descriptive description experimental design with field observation and experimental analysis, focused on paper production from horse manure using starch in increasing paper’s durability. Durability will be measured by the amount of starch of constant amount of horse manure used in the study. The significance of the study is to create alternative source of pulp which is used in paper production. The study also beneficial to the environment in lessening the massive cutting of trees for paper production and also beneficial to farmers in disposal of horse manure. Corn Starch and Cassava plays a vital role in increasing horse manure paper’s durability. Each starch shows high potential in binding agent but corn starch shows high resistance that cassava starch. Moreover, the result of this study can create investable change to paper production industry to have different source of paper without putting aside the environmental effects of massive cutting of trees for paper production.

Keywords: Horse Manure, Corn Starch, Cassava Starch, Paper Production

Locator: UT 1116/P33/2018
