Comighod, H.J., Arcillas, B.M., & Sasis, C. (November 2018). Factors Affecting Students’ Interest in Science Subject. Digos City: University of Mindanao.

This study seeks to determine the factors affecting students’ interest in learning science subjects. Specifically, it aims to determine the level of interest of the participants in science subjects in term of their opinion, attitude, and experiences, and explore if there is a significant difference in the level of interest when respondents are analyzed by profile. Using a descriptive research design, the researchers employed a total of 266 respondents from the Department of Teacher Education (DTE) of UM Digos College. Results revealed that there is no significant difference between the levels of interest in science subject when analyzed by age and sex. However, when the levels of interest in science subject are analyzed according to major, it was found out that there is a significant difference. Based on the findings, the researchers recommend that the administrators, teachers, and future researchers, must focus on measure to strengthen interest in learning science subjects.

Keywords: Students Interest, Science Subject, Quantitative, Education Students

Locator: UT 1115/C73/2018

|
