Digos City: University of Mindanao.<br/><br/>This study aimed to help the public giving them an idea about the nutritional value of Tonner Rice and Aguila corn grits. This will help them make better choices since diet is one of the modifiable risk factors for many diseases. Everyone could personally handle to protect his own health. This study compares the nutritional value of Tonner rice and Aguila corn grits by analyzing its physical characteristics and chemical components. After the researchers obtained both samples from Digos City public market, the samples were sent for laboratory analysis in Davao Analytical Laboratory Davao City specifically the methods used were Kjeldahl method, Soxhlet extractor method, and through calculation obtained the data. Results of both samples show high content of carbohydrates, proteins, and low-fat content with only small difference in percentage. Overall, in terms of chemical components they have the same chemical components with only small difference, which means eating either of the two will make little to no difference based on the parameter of this study. <br/><br/>Keywords: Nutritional Value, Diet, Tonner Rice, Aguila Corn Grits <br/><br/><br/><br/>Locator: UT 1118/C91/2018 <br/>
